M.Ashdod outrebounded Ashkelon 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. American Jimmy Hall (203-1994, college: Kent St.) stepped up and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Robert Turner III (190-1993, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. Four M.Ashdod players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Omer Poleg (185-1999) responded with 14 points and 8 assists and point guard Ido Shabat (182-1999) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Ashkelon's coach Dror Cohen rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
