Very important is a home loss of third rankedBnei Hertzeliya (15-7) against eleventh ranked Kiryat Ata (7-14) on Friday night. Host Bnei Hertzeliya was defeated by Kiryat Ata in a tough game in Hod Hasharon 88-96 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bnei Hertzeliya. Kiryat Ata made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. American power forward DeAndre Williams (206-1996, college: Memphis) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tomer Asayag (192-1999) chipped in 21 points and 7 assists during the contest. Kiryat Ata's coach Eldad Bentov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Zack Bryant (188-1997, college: Georgia South) responded with 24 points and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Jordon Varnado (202-1997, college: Troy) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kiryat Ata moved-up to tenth place, which they share with I.Ness Ziona. Bnei Hertzeliya at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with H.Gilboa Galil and H.Jerusalem. Kiryat Ata will play against league's leader M.Tel-Aviv in Tel Aviv in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bnei Hertzeliya will play at home against E.Netanya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
