No shocking result in a game when first ranked Armani Milano (20-2) crushed on the road 15th ranked VL Pesaro (7-16) 84-61 on Monday. The game without a history. Armani Milano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to VL Pesaro's 34. They outrebounded VL Pesaro 48-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. U.S. Virgin Islands-Guyanese center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-92, college: Ohio St.) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for VL Pesaro. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Armani Milano have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-2 record. VL Pesaro at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Armani Milano will face league's second-placed Banco di Srd in Sassari in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. VL Pesaro will play on the road against Umana Venezia (#3) and hope to win that game.
