Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Vicenza (8-7) lost at home to third ranked Bergamo (12-3) 65-56 on Sunday. It was a good game for guard Alessandro Panni (189-91) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Marco Planezio (196-91, agency: Players Group) contributed with 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Claudio Nobile (206-82) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Umberto Campiello (198-85) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vicenza. Vicenza's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bergamo have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place in B with 12-3 record having just two points less than leader Forli. Newly promoted Vicenza dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Bergamo will face Desio (#7) at home in the next round. Vicenza will play against Varese Coels. and hope to win that game.
