Regular Season Round 18: San Severo - Senigallia 85-68

Everything went according to plan when second ranked San Severo (16-2) defeated at home 6th ranked Senigallia (9-9) 85-68 on Sunday. San Severo forced 19 Senigallia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for forward Iris Ikangi (200-94) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Andrea Quarisa (202-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four San Severo players scored in double figures. Guard Sergio Maddaloni (195-82) replied with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Matteo Marinelli (201-84) added 8 points in the effort for Senigallia. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted San Severo maintains second position in B with 16-2 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Forli, which they share with Udine APU. Loser Senigallia dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. San Severo will face league's leader Montegrano in Montenegrano in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Senigallia will play on the road against Monteroni (#10) and hope to win that game.
