Serie A2 top team - Broni (17-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Scrivia (4-12) 87-36. The game without a history. Broni led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Scrivia to just 4 points in first quarter and to 14 points in first half. Broni held Scrivia to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Broni forced 19 Scrivia turnovers and outrebounded them 51-16 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Estonian power forward Maaja Bratka (190-92, agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and guard Virginia Galbiati (173-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) supported her with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Broni players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by point guard Giulia Porro (169-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) did not help to save the game for Scrivia. Guard Francesca Bergante (172-82) added 8 points for lost side. Scrivia's coach Franco Balduzzi already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Broni maintains first position in A2 with 17-0 record. Newly promoted Scrivia keeps the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Broni will meet Costa Masnaga (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Scrivia will play against Vicenza (#3) and hope to secure a win.
