Regular Season Round 21: Santarcangelo - Faenza 83-76

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Faenza (9-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Santarcangelo (14-7) 83-76 on Saturday. Swingman Luca Bedetti (193-89, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and center Alberto Saponi (202-85) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Santarcangelo moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema. Faenza at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Santarcangelo will face Torino (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Monsummano (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
