Regular Season Round 23: Bisceglie - Valmontone 82-71

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Bisceglie (10-14) beat at home 13th ranked Valmontone (6-17) 82-71 on Sunday. Bisceglie shot 61.3 percent from the field. Valmontone was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Mathias Drigo (202-89) contributed with 14 points for the winners. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Marco Reali (188-95) added 17 points in the effort for Valmontone. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bisceglie moved-up to ninth place in B. Newly promoted Valmontone dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Bisceglie will face Porto S.Elpidio (#10) on the road in the next round. Valmontone will play against Giulianova (#11) and hope to win that game.
