Regular Season Round 26: Piombino - Trecate 83-77

Very expected game when 16th ranked Trecate (1-25) lost on the road to sixth ranked Piombino (16-10) 83-77 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Point guard Mattia Venucci (185-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 5 assists. Forward Alessio Iardella (193-88) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Patrick Grossini (193-79) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Emanuele Gerli (195-90) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Trecate. Four Trecate players scored in double figures. Piombino moved-up to fifth place in B. Newly promoted Trecate keeps the sixteenth position with 25 games lost. Piombino will face Monsummano (#9) on the road in the next round. Trecate will play against the league's second-placed Piacenza (#2) and hope to win that game.
