A very interesting game took place in Valmontone. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best San Severo (21-6) to thirteenth ranked Valmontone (9-18) 80-78 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Valmontone made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 30 personal fouls committed by San Severo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Antonio De Fabritiis (189-90) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Valmontone players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (182-84) answered with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) added 15 points in the effort for San Severo. Valmontone moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. San Severo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with six games lost. Valmontone's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ortona (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
