We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Lecco (17-10) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Milano Urania (17-10) 84-72 on Sunday. Milano Urania dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lecco's 18. Lecco was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) fired 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Naturalized Montenegrin guard Dusan Stijepovic (193-88) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) produced 16 points and 5 assists and center Giorgio Piunti (206-90, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Milano Urania and four Lecco players scored in double figures. Milano Urania moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with defeated Lecco. Milano Urania will face league's second-placed Orzinuovi GaGa at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lecco will play against Moncalieri and hope to win that game.
