Regular Season Round 3: Sangiorgese - Oleggio 98-68

Very expected game in San Giorgio where Oleggio (0-3) was crushed by Sangiorgese (2-1) 98-68 on Sunday. Sangiorgese made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Oleggio turnovers. Oleggio was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for swingman Francesco Gorreri (191-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. Point guard Andrea Tommei (181-91) helped adding 18 points and 4 assists. Five Sangiorgese players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) with 25 points and 4 assists and forward Edoardo Gallazzi (200-86) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sangiorgese will face Domodossola (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oleggio will play against Valsesia (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
