There was an upset when higher ranked Desio (6-7) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Milano Urania (4-9) 75-68 on Sunday. Milano Urania made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Simone Ferrarese (182-87) stepped up and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Lorenzo Bartoli (197-94) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Milano Urania players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Filippo Politi (205-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Andrea Negri (193-88) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Desio's coach Davide Villa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Milano Urania moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Desio keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Milano Urania will face higher ranked Padova (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
