Regular Season Round 14: Bergamo - Desio 80-70

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Desio (6-8) was defeated on the road by second ranked Bergamo (12-2) 80-70 on Wednesday. Bergamo made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Rei Pullazi (203-93) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Simone Berti (196-85) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Bergamo players scored in double figures. Forward Marco Torgano (197-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) produced 35 points (!!!) and Andrea Mazzoleni (200-98) added 5 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Desio's coach Davide Villa let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bergamo have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Orzinuovi GaGa. Loser Desio dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Bergamo will face Milano Urania (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Desio will play against Padova (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
