Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Pescara (19-9) outleveled at home 7th ranked Porto S.Elpidio (14-14) 79-52 on Sunday. Pescara looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Porto S.Elpidio's players. Swingman Jacopo Valentini (193-86) fired 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Matteo Bini (200-94) chipped in 21 points. Five Pescara players scored in double figures. Guard Stefano Cernivani (190-91) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Mirko Romani (205-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Porto S.Elpidio's coach Massimiliano Domizioli already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Pescara moved-up to fourth place in B. Loser Porto S.Elpidio dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. Pescara will face Rimini (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Porto S.Elpidio will play against Taranto and hope to win that game.
