There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Forli Tigers (6-5) defeated on the road 5th ranked Vicenza (6-5) 80-69 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was point guard Matteo Battisti (182-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Power forward Michael Sacchettini (205-95, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (193-85, agency: Interperformances) produced 9 points and 10 assists and forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Forli Tigers moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Faenza. Forli Tigers will face league's leader Piacenza at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vicenza will play against Lugo (#12) and hope to win that game.
