There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Civitanova (7-5) won against on the road one of their biggest challengers Porto S.Elpidio (7-5) 69-62 on Thursday. It was a good game for guard Lorenzo Andreani (183-87) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Francesco Amoroso (201-78) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Diego Torresi (200-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Simone Zanotti (208-92) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Porto S.Elpidio. Civitanova moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Porto S.Elpidio. Civitanova will face league's leader San Severo on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Porto S.Elpidio will play against Giulianova (#10) and hope to win that game.
