Regular Season Round 15: Cecina - Super Flavor M. 67-85

Very predictable result when third ranked Super Flavor M. (12-3) won against on the road 10th ranked Cecina (6-9) 85-67 on Saturday. Super Flavor M. made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international power forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Center Giacomo Eliantonio (206-88) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Super Flavor M. players scored in double figures. Power forward Andrea Spera (206-96, agency: Players Group) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Senegalese Samuel Gaye-Serigne (198-96) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cecina. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Super Flavor M. moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Crema and Piacenza. Loser Cecina dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Super Flavor M. will face Valsesia (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cecina will play against the league's second-placed Firenze All Foods and hope to win that game.
