A very interesting game took place in Cassino. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked Cassino (11-5) to third ranked Valmontone (13-3) 91-89 on Saturday evening. Valmontone shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Cassino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) fired 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Innocenzo Ferraro (200-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (196-80, agency: Players Group) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Valmontone and five Cassino players scored in double figures. Valmontone moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Piacenza. Cassino at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Valmontone's next round opponent will be league's leader Basket Barcellona at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cassino will play against Catanzaro and hope to win that game.
