There was a minor upset whenFaenza was crushed on the road by Sassari 92-65 on Sunday. Sassari made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game, while Faenza only scored one point from the stripe. They outrebounded Faenza 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-1995, college: UTEP) scored 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian forward Ana-Marija Begic (190-1994) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Sassari's coach Antonello Restivo felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. German forward Stella Reichert (188-2001, college: ODU) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Federica Franceschelli (178-1997) scored 12 points and 6 assists.
