There was a small surprise when eighth rankedOmegna (4-2) edged at home 5th ranked Faenza (4-2) 82-79 on Saturday. Omegna looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Point guard Francesco Paolin (190-1995) notched 15 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and Latvian Andris Misters (195-1992, college: Jacksonville) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds by power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-1988) did not help to save the game for Faenza . Guard Lorenzo Calbini (185-2003) added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 8 other teams including defeated Faenza .
