There was no surprise when 12th rankedGiussano (2-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Milano (8-3) 67-51 on Saturday. Milano dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Giussano 's 28. Milano forced 19 Giussano turnovers. It was a great evening for Lithuanian power forward Laura Zelnyte (193-1994) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Angelica Tibe (185-1996) helped adding 9 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Ilaria Bernardi (179-2005) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Polish power forward Magdalena Szajtauer (196-1995) scored 3 points and 11 rebounds. Four Giussano players scored in double figures. Giussano's coach Monica Stazzonelli tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Milano moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Giussano lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost.
