The most exciting game of round 17 in the Serie B Nazionale took place in Treviglio. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-rankedTreviglio (13-4) to thirteenth ranked Monferrato (8-9) 72-70 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-1989) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (214-1990) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-1990, college: DePaul) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Tommaso Vecchiola (185-2004) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Treviglio players scored in double figures. Monferrato moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 7 other teams. Treviglio at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost.
