Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedReggio Emilia (9-3) defeated at home 13th ranked Openjobmetis Varese (3-9) 97-80 on Sunday. Reggio Emilia dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Openjobmetis Varese 's 30. They outrebounded Varese 42-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Reggio Emilia looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Cassius Winston (185-1997, college: Michigan St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists and the other American import guard Jaylen Barford (191-1996, college: Arkansas) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds.
