No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedMantova (11-4) edged at home 11th ranked Rovigo (3-12) 71-69 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Mantova made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while Rovigo only scored nine points from the stripe. Mantova forced 22 Rovigo turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Chiara Fusari (172-1998) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 steals. Point guard Elena Fietta (170-1995) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Forward Sara Zanetti (185-2004) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Silvia Viviani (168-2001) added 14 points respectively for Rovigo in the defeat. Four Rovigo players scored in double figures. Rovigo's coach Giulia Pegoraro tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mantova moved-up to third place, which they share with Empoli and Matelica. Rovigo lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Civitanova.
