There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedMoncalieri (6-11) beat at home higher ranked Cagliari V (9-8) 69-59 on Saturday. Power forward Ludovica Sammartino (186-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and North Macedonian point guard Tijana Mitreva (171-2001) chipped in 20 points. Guard Emanuela Trozzola (170-2006) responded with 20 points and 4 steals and Polish guard Monika Naczk (167-1995) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Moncalieri moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Umbertide. Newly promoted Cagliari V keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.
