Rather expected game when 17th rankedPiacenza (9-19) was smashed at home by fourteenth ranked Imola Virtus (13-14) 92-68 on Sunday. Imola Virtus forced 19 Piacenza turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Dario Masciarelli (195-1998) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!) and 4 steals. Naturalized Brazilian guard Ygor Morina (190-2004) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Tommaso Lanzi (185-2002, agency: Players Group) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Vincenzo Taddeo (190-2000) added 12 points respectively for Piacenza in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Imola Virtus moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Vicenza and Imola ACosta. Piacenza lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 19 games lost.
