Regular Season Round 27: Cantu - Piacenza 87-68

There was no surprise when 20th rankedPiacenza (5-22) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Cantu (18-10) 87-68 on Sunday. Cantu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Tyrus McGee (188-1991, college: Iowa St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 4 assists. The former international guard Riccardo Moraschini (194-1991) accounted for 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Five Cantu players scored in double figures. Cantu's coach Nicola Brienza used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Derrick Marks (191-1993, college: Boise St., agency: Players Group) came up with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Michele Serpilli (201-1999) added 15 points respectively for Piacenza in the defeat. Cantu maintains fourth place with 18-10 record. Piacenza at the other side stay dead last with 22 lost games.
