Top ranked Valdarno (17-3) recorded its third loss on the court of seventh ranked Broni. Visitors were defeated by Broni 75-62. Naturalized Canadian forward Christina Morra (188-2000, college: Wake Forest) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points. German guard Alina Hartmann (186-1995, college: Colorado) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Elisa Policari (188-1997) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Marta Rossini (175-2001) added 19 points in the effort for Valdarno. Broni have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cagliari V. Valdarno at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Broni will play against Cagliari V (#6) on the road in the next round. Valdarno will play against Livorno (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
