There was a minor upset in Civitanova Marche where 12th rankedCivitanova (4-16) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Ancona (2-18) 71-64 on Sunday. Ancona made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Anja Marinkovic (173-1998, college: FGCU) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and point guard Stefania Maroglio (170-2001) who added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Guard Veronica Perini (175-1988) responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Sofia Binci (165-2002) scored 9 points and 9 assists. Ancona moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Vigarano. Civitanova lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost.
