There was an upset when higher rankedFaenza (19-12) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Agrigento (16-14) 96-78 on Sunday. Agrigento shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Alessandro Scarponi (196-2004) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Gabriele Romeo (182-1997) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Four Agrigento players scored in double figures.
