There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Ragusa (16-6) won against at home much higher ranked Treviso (16-6) 49-44 on Sunday. Ragusa forced 21 Treviso turnovers. Argentinian guard Amaiquen Siciliano (170-1999, college: Bishop's) fired 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Chiara Consolini (180-1988) chipped in 13 points. The former international guard Antonia Peresson (176-1995, college: Georgia Tech) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Polish swingman Marta Stawicka (179-2001, agency: SPORTFORUM Agency) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ragusa have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Treviso. Ragusa will meet Roseto (#6) on the road in the next round. Treviso will play against Trieste (#7) and hope to secure a win.
