There was no surprise when 6th rankedRoseto (15-9) lost on the road to fourth ranked Matelica (17-7) 83-67 on Saturday. Matelica made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Matelica outrebounded Roseto 46-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by center Anna Poggio (185-2001) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Debora Gonzalez (170-1990, agency: Players Group) supported her with 19 points. Four Matelica players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by swingman Lucrezia Coser (177-1998) did not help to save the game for Roseto . Guard Anna Capra (170-2003) added 16 points. Roseto's coach Simone Righi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Matelica maintains fourth position with 17-7 record, which they share with Treviso. Roseto lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost.
