Fortitudo dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Cantu's 18. Fortitudo players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kenny Gabriel (205-1989, college: Auburn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Matteo Fantinelli (195-1993) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American Tyrus McGee (188-1991, college: Iowa St.) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and international forward Grant Basile (206-2000, college: Virginia Tech) scored 15 points. Cantu's coach Nicola Brienza tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
