Not a big story in a game when Vicenza was defeated at home by Faenza 66-62 on Saturday. Faenza forced 20 Vicenza turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Martina Guzzoni (180-2006) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Bulgarian forward Iliyana Georgieva (186-2003) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Giovanna Smorto (178-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Faenza will meet at home Ancona in the next round where they are favorite. Vicenza will play against Alpo in Verona and hope to win that game.
