Regular Season Round 4: Cagliari CUS - Ragusa 59-65
Date: October 25, 2025
Not a big story in a game when 8th rankedCagliari CUS (1-3) lost at home to fifth ranked Ragusa (3-1) 65-59 on Saturday. Ragusa outrebounded Cagliari CUS 42-28 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Swedish forward Precious Johnson (193-2000, college: Duquesne) who scored that evening 11 points and 8 rebounds and Marika Labanca (185-2003) supported her with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Ragusa's coach Maria Buzzanca used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Giorgia Bovenzi (165-2002) did not help to save the game for Cagliari CUS . Polish point guard Kinga Piedel (171-1997) added 13 points and 4 assists for lost side. Ragusa keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Cagliari CUS dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Ragusa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cagliari CUS will play against Vicenza (#13) and hope to win that game.
