There was no surprise in Piazza Armerina where 13th rankedPiazza Armer. (5-7) was crushed by third ranked Montecatini (9-2) 84-62 on Saturday. Montecatini shot 66.7 percent from the field. Montecatini had a 30-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Piazza Armer.'s coach Vincenzo Patrizio gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Montecatini have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Caserta Pap. and Legnano. Newly promoted Piazza Armer. dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Sant Antimo.
