The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh rankedAlcamo 's (3-6) home victory over 12th ranked Trieste (2-8) 69-60 on Sunday. Alcamo outrebounded Trieste 46-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Romanian guard Justina Kraujunaite (178-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. North Macedonian forward Matea Nikolic (191-2002, college: Kansas) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Antonia Peresson (176-1995, college: Georgia Tech) produced 26 points and 9 rebounds and Slovenian forward Zala Srot (185-2004) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alcamo moved-up to ninth place. Trieste lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with eight games lost. Alcamo will meet higher ranked Cagliari CUS (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trieste will play against Cagliari CUS (#7) and hope to secure a win.
