There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedTrieste (3-9) smashed at home higher ranked Cagliari CUS (4-8) 79-57 on Thursday. Worth to mention a great performance of Costanza Miccoli who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Argentinian guard Milagros Maza (173-2003) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Trieste players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Meriem Nasraoui (184-2002) with 8 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Giorgia Bovenzi (165-2002) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trieste maintains twelfth position with 3-9 record.
