The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Faenza's (6-6) road loss to fifth ranked Ragusa (7-4) 54-67 on Saturday. Ragusa forced 19 Faenza turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Beatrice Stroscio who helped to win the game recording 27 points and Swedish forward Precious Johnson (193-2000, college: Duquesne) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Martina Guzzoni (180-2006) with 18 points and the former international guard Antonia Peresson (176-1995, college: Georgia Tech) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Ragusa maintains fifth position with 7-4 record. Faenza lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. Ragusa will meet Alcamo (#8) on the road in the next round. Faenza will play against the league's second-placed Matelica and hope to secure a win.
