Not a big story in a game when 9th rankedSan Martino (4-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked Campobasso (11-3) 73-65 . Campobasso outrebounded San Martino 39-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Campobasso players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Polish guard Anna Makurat (188-2000, college: UConn) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Luxembourg guard Anne Simon (175-2000, college: Maine) accounted for 18 points and 6 assists for the winning side. American forward Liz Scott (188-2001, college: Oklahoma) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Slovenian Tina Cvijanovic (180-1998) added 19 points respectively for San Martino in the defeat. Four San Martino players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Campobasso . They maintain third place with 11-3 record having just three points less than leader Schio. San Martino at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost.
