There was no surprise when 15th rankedQuarrata (7-15) was defeated on the road by second ranked Caserta Pap. (20-3) 80-70 on Sunday. Caserta Pap. forced 20 Quarrata turnovers. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Matej Radunic (211-1996) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Andrea Lo Biondo (206-1998, college: Winona St.) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Caserta Pap. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Antonio Novori (196-2007) who recorded 17 points and point guard Tommaso Molteni (188-1999) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively. Quarrata's coach Alberto Tonfoni rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Caserta Pap. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with RO Virtus 1960. Quarrata lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 15 games lost.
