Very important is a road loss of third rankedValdarno (12-5) against fifth ranked Empoli (11-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Valdarno was defeated by Empoli in a tough game in Empoli 65-69 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valdarno. It was an exceptional evening for Czech Anna Rylichova (180-1999) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian power forward Liga Vente (190-1991, college: Eckerd) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Swiss forward Lea Favre (185-1997, college: Rider) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Ilaria Bernardi (178-2005) added 19 points respectively for Valdarno in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Empoli maintains fifth place with 11-7 record. Valdarno at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Bolzano BC.
