Very expected game when 12th rankedAncona (5-13) lost on the road to eighth ranked Rovigo (8-10) 68-61 on Saturday. Rovigo made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Sara Zanetti (185-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Bulgarian power forward Katrin Stoichkova (180-1999) accounted for 10 points for the winning side. Rovigo's coach Maria Pegoraro allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. French guard Carla Bremaud (179-1999, college: Wichita St.) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Giulia Pierdicca (183-1993) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Ancona in the defeat. Rovigo moved-up to seventh place. Loser Ancona dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Giussano.
