Everything went according to plan when twelfth rankedFabo Herons (15-13) defeated 16th ranked Fiorenzuola (10-18) in Montecatini 87-73 on Saturday. Fabo Herons made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Fabo Herons outrebounded Fiorenzuola 39-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lithuanian Lukas Aukstikalnis (196-1995) nailed 21 points for the winning side and swingman Riccardo Chinellato (198-2000, agency: SLN) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian power forward Ilija Biorac (202-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Andrea Cecchi (196-2005) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Fiorenzuola in the defeat. Five Fabo Herons and four Fiorenzuola players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fabo Herons moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Omegna. Fiorenzuola lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 18 games lost.
