There was a surprise result when ninth rankedRovigo (9-11) defeated at home second-best Alpo (14-5) 71-63 on Saturday. Forward Sara Zanetti (185-2004) stepped up and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Slovenian Nina Stavrov (180-2004) chipped in 13 points. Four Rovigo players scored in double figures. Rovigo's coach Maria Pegoraro used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was center Serena Soglia (186-2000) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and forward Francesca Parmesani (176-1998) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Rovigo moved-up to eighth place. Loser Alpo keeps the second position with five games lost.
