Regular Season Round 21: Vicenza - Ragusa 70-62

There was an upset when higher ranked Ragusa (10-9) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Vicenza (8-11) 70-62 on Sunday. Point guard Chiara Fusari (172-1998) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and power forward Alice Nori (185-1993) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Chiara Consolini (180-1988) with 25 points and Swedish forward Precious Johnson (193-2000, college: Duquesne) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Vicenza moved-up to ninth place. Ragusa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Vicenza will meet higher ranked Alcamo (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ragusa will play against Treviso and hope to secure a win.
