Rather expected game when 12th rankedAncona (5-16) lost at home to ninth ranked Trieste (9-13) 71-55 on Wednesday. Power forward Costanza Miccoli (185-1995) notched 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Argentinian guard Milagros Maza (173-2003) supported her with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Trieste players scored in double figures. Trieste's coach Andrea Mura used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by French guard Carla Bremaud (179-1999, college: Wichita St.) did not help to save the game for Ancona . Guard Justine Nardoni (173-2007) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Trieste maintains ninth position with 9-13 record. Ancona lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 16 games lost.
