There was no surprise when 4th placedSan Vendemiano (22-10) was outplayed on the road by first ranked Vigevano (25-6) 83-57 on Wednesday. Vigevano dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to San Vendemiano 's 18 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Vigevano forced 21 San Vendemiano turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Vigevano looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Armando Verazzo (196-2002) who scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Mauro Zacchigna (202-2004) chipped in 19 points. Vigevano's coach Stefano Salieri felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Nigerian center Ivan Onojaife (200-2003, agency: Players Group) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Riccardo Murri (190-2000) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vigevano . They maintain first place with 25-6 record, which they share with RO Virtus 1960. San Vendemiano lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Montecatini.
