Very important is a road loss of second rankedBrindisi (21-11) against fourteenth ranked Mestre (14-18) on Saturday night. Visiting Brindisi was defeated by Mestre in Mestre 86-70 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brindisi. It was a great shooting night for Mestre especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Forward Simone Aromando (200-1997) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Seneca Knight (198-2000, college: Illinois St.) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Andrea Cinciarini (191-1986, agency: SLN) came up with 9 points and 6 assists and American guard Zach Copeland (193-1997, college: Illinois St.) added 12 points respectively for Brindisi in the defeat. Five Mestre and four Brindisi players scored in double figures. Brindisi's coach Piero Bucchi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Mestre moved-up to thirteenth place. Brindisi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost.
